One of the people I admire the most on LJ is a person I've never met and only had small handfuls of conversation with: nicked_metal. I admire him because his journal is an open and honest and constantly thought-provoking examination of how he deals with a lot of his own issues, and because to do that sort of thing in an arena where anyone can stumble upon it ( Read more... )

I have this problem with New Years' Resolutions. It's, you know, the usual problem, a sort of amalgam of "They never work" and "There's no magical power bestowed on you on New Years" and "If you have something you want to change in your life, there's really no reason it has to be New Years for you to decide that."
